Our hospital pagers are used in emergency rooms, admissions, radiology, pharmacies, labs and many more departments to call waiting patients or families. Staff paging is also used by hospitals to communicate quickly and efficiently with staff throughout the facility. Hospitals enjoy the benefits of improved communications and also medical and doctor's offices are utilising wireless pagers and communication tools to notify waiting patients. Healthcare staff pagers keep doctors on schedule and staff in communication at all times and in emergencies they are notified instantly.
Paging and communication tools also eliminate the need for overhead public address systems and maintain patient confidentiality. Now you can improve your patient experience quickly and easily.

Recent years in healthcare have been difficult. Staff issues or patient flow problems don't help!
Hospitals and NHS healthcare has been and currently remains difficult because of the high volumes of patients either in hospital or the day patients that continue to increase and flow through the system. Health workers deserve to be mentioned because of the incredible pressures they work under that can also create shortages of staff. But there are ways that these problems can be addressed that can help to alleviate the loss of time, make employees more efficient and reduce the staff stress both on themselves AND the patients going through the hospital.
Healthcare Paging in Use
Firstly, the patient flow, if not managed properly, will be problematic, patients may not return on time, or get angry because of late appointments or a number of other issues can seriously disrupt the patient flow. There are many studies about patient flow, but sometimes its the simpler solutions that will undoubtedly reduce the problems, reduce staff and patient stress levels, and create a good patient and efficient flow through the department. Some of the products highlight above can help to solve these problems. The result will be that patients need not sit in the department and wait in fear of 'losing their position' but can go to the cafe and relax there while they wait. When its their turn to see the specialist just a single key press will notify the patient to return. Everyone will feel better and the patient flow will be improved sometimes dramatically. To help the waiting list to be visual, LRS offers an application that runs on a browser that shows every patient and how long they are waiting. If overdue you can see immediately as the patient token turns red and can be addressed accordingly.
When it comes down to beds and notifications to nurses or other staff, often patients don't always get 'heard' through staff being so busy. And at night time sometimes staff simply don't hear the patient calling. By using a room call button everything changes. Also known as PFS call buttons, the example shown is one or six buttons. Each button can be programmed to message an individual, all members of a team or everyone. When the first person arrives to the call from a patient, they can cancel the calling buttons and that notifies other staff that the call was handled. In an emergency if not cancelled other team member will arrive to help. Simplicity is the key, but the affordability is also a critical aspect. Whatever the issue, these call buttons can be used for many tasks around healthcare establishments and no doubt will be well received. Patient calls won't go unanswered.
Other communications devices can improve the staff effectiveness by having good communications between staff. It's critical that staff know what is going on at any point and staff paging systems certainly do help. A while back politicians called for the scrapping of pagers (Hancock), but in reality those systems are priceless when you are trying to run an efficient ward or hospital.
And lastly of course important staff are hospital porters. Their job is many fold, but the importance of knowing where they are at any given time is paramount to smooth operation of the hospital. Many healthcare establishments use two-way radios or walkie talkies to communicate between porters, and also for security staff. As service in healthcare has deteriorated in some hospitals, patients get frustrated and can cause problems that need to be addressed, whether threatening staff or other actions that have to be addressed. Two way radios are really the best solution and all staff using them can learn of the issues immediately.
